This work explores the possibility of making concrete the idea of immigrant integration through a journey into everyday reality. It is a reflection in ten stages, from fear to acceptance of the different. Turin, Rome, Bari are the scenario to tell the difficulty of welcoming and being welcomed, of integrating and being integrated. Fishermen, good society, volunteers, teenagers, musicians, a world in which solidarity mixes with prejudices. On one hand, foreign women who survived violence, Afghan boys looking for a ransom, North African survivors of terrifying journeys. On the other, Italians who teach our language, who distribute clothes and medicines, who train new workers. Original music and poems accompany this journey that begins in schools, to wish that hope wins over inertia and prejudices.
